About Holly Beasley…

I like making people look good. Like, really good.

My specialty is listening to clients and giving my honest opinion and recommendations based on their lifestyle and style goals. I love classic looks but I’m also down with the current trends. I want everyone in my chair to feel their best.

As a kid I was always into theater and movies (I’m kind of a pretentious movie nerd). In fourth grade I told my teacher that when I grew up I was going to be an actor as well as direct and do hair and makeup. A one-woman movie crew, I guess. You could say I have a flair for the dramatic.

I draw a lot of inspiration from movies and fashion. I’m a big-time horror fan but that doesn’t reflect in my work, I promise (unless you want it to…!). My personal style is constantly evolving and I don’t like putting myself in a box or labeling my aesthetic. And I don’t want my clients to, either.

Before beauty school, I went to music school, where I played the saxophone. I definitely wasn’t as cool as that might sound, though. After realizing I wasn’t meant to be a musician, I worked for Nordstrom for about six years, where I developed a taste for fashion and the finer things in life. Like shoes. A lot of shoes.

Seriously, I own an insane amount of shoes.

In 2010 I graduated from Paul Mitchell the School-Indianapolis where I won a shampooing competition (my shampoos are the best around *wink*). After graduating, I worked my way up from a stylist in a new salon to eventually the education director. After eight years shaping young stylists as well as continuing to grow in my art, I decided to open Neo Noire and start then next phase of my career.

From the beginning, one of my top priorities has always been staying sharp (haha, get it??). I’m constantly practicing, learning new techniques, taking classes from colleagues and industry leaders, and doing anything I can to improve my skills. I want to be the best so I can give my clients the best.

In my free time, I watch movies, play video games, read, listen to podcasts (mainly true crime and horror) and enjoy the occasional gaming session of Call of Cthulhu (it’s kinda like D&D - I also like D&D!). I have three cats, Simon, Peter, and Virgie, with my husband Sean. (Oh yeah, I have a husband, too.)

My goal in life is to have an awesome time while I’m here and to help others do the same. And honestly, having a kick-ass haircut and color makes an awesome time awesomer.

I love effortless hair. I’m all about bangs. I love pixie cuts. I cover up grays like a boss. Dimensional brunettes are my fave. From precision bobs to long beachy waves, I can make your hair goals happen.

Trust me.
